Bella's Pizza and Deli

When you talk about authentic East Coast pizza in Calabash, NC, one name stands out consistently among locals and tourists alike—Bella's Pizza and Deli. Tucked away on 10136 Beach Dr SW, this cozy spot has become a staple for anyone craving quality pies with bold flavors. If you're on the hunt for pizza in Calabash NC that's more than just a quick bite, Bella's is where you want to be.

Open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Bella’s operates with a commitment to freshness, flavor, and community. I’ve spent years in the restaurant business, and what sets a place like Bella’s apart isn’t just the pizza—it’s the consistency, the hospitality, and how well they understand their customers. From my experience, it’s rare to find a family-run joint that checks all those boxes as effortlessly as Bella’s.

A Menu That Delivers More Than Just Pizza

When browsing the Bella's Pizza and Deli menu, it’s clear this isn’t your run-of-the-mill pizza vendor. Whether you're looking for a classic New York-style slice or a hearty meatball parm sub, the variety caters to different tastes. Their specialty pizzas are a must-try—the white pizza, in particular, has a creamy richness balanced by garlic and ricotta that keeps regulars coming back.

Their calzones, strombolis, and hot deli sandwiches deserve equal attention. Honestly, I've tasted a lot of deli menus in my time, and what Bella’s offers rivals some of the best I've had in major cities. If you're comparing Bella's Pizza Calabash to your average chain, don’t bother—they're playing in a different league.

Why Bella’s Is a Local Favorite

Bella’s isn’t just popular for being the only option—it’s respected for doing it right. In a region where pizza Calabash NC options can be limited, Bella’s raises the bar. You’ll see the same staff each visit, which speaks volumes about their commitment and how they treat their team. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like a friend, not just a customer.

Another reason locals choose Bella's over others is the freshness of ingredients. The dough is made in-house, the sauce has that slow-simmered depth, and the cheese blend melts to golden perfection. It's rare to find that attention to detail, especially when comparing places from other towns like the pizza vendor Scappoose menu which often lacks the same personal touch and East Coast authenticity.

Not Just for Tourists

If you're new in town or visiting nearby Sunset Beach or Ocean Isle, don’t let the unassuming building fool you. This is the kind of place locals recommend quietly—like a secret they almost don’t want to share. But word gets around, and Bella’s has carved out a name not just in Calabash, but even among visitors who once searched Calabash NC pizza and stumbled upon this gem.

A Strong Contender Across States

Even when I compare Bella’s to other regional places—say, you’re familiar with a pizza vendor Scappoose menu in Oregon—you start to appreciate what Bella’s delivers. The east coast flavor profile is unmistakable. From the texture of the crust to the seasoning in the sauce, Bella’s feels like a slice of Brooklyn dropped into the Carolina coast.

What also separates Bella’s from competitors is their adaptability. Whether you're dining in, grabbing a takeout pie after a day at the beach, or calling ahead for a late-night snack, they get it right every time. Their phone line, (910) 579-0000, stays busy for good reason.

A True Local Anchor

While the town grows and new businesses pop up, Bella's Pizza and Deli remains one of those rare constants that continues to evolve without losing its roots. It’s the kind of place where high school students stop in after practice, families gather for a midweek treat, and snowbirds make their regular return.

For anyone hunting down the best Calabash NC pizza, don’t overthink it—Bella’s is the one. From the wide-ranging Bella’s Pizza and Deli menu to their comforting, neighborhood vibe, there’s a reason this place sticks in your memory.

Salad was fresh and tasty. The pizza was very tasty but I prefer an oregano pizza sauce. But we will order it again.

We were looking for a tasty pizza that could be picked up in a reasonable amount of time. Bella's didn't disappoint.

People can't really complain about the prices when ordering online. There is a menu and plenty of webpages with the cost. It is pricey but you either agree to pay for it or you go somewhere else. I agreed to pay the price and it was worth it. We've ate here twice. Would I eat here again? Yes but it's only like once a year so it's not that bad to pay for. I wouldn't mind eating here more often but the price wouldn't allow that but that is the times we live in.

Our first night in a new home called for pizza in bed. Turning to Yelp led me to Bella's. We ordered two 14" pizzas, one meat lovers and one white pizza with mushrooms and meatballs. Jen took our order and I went to pick it up. She was super friendly and very personable. The place was pretty empty but it was a Monday night. The order was ready exactly as expected and still hot when I got home. New York style thin crust with just the right amount of chewiness. Not too much sauce on mine with great flavor. The ingredients seemed fresh on both. $50 with a tip seems a little steep for 2 medium pizzas so we won't frequent this place but the pizza is good and staff is nice so worth a visit for sure.

Finally got their pizza. I asked them for thin crust, and they made it for me. Both people there were extremely nice. The pizza was how I like it! Great flavor and a little greasy.
